Description
3.5-4.0m deep rectangular pit on south side of B4211 near Flat Farm, Tirley exposing mid brownish-red mudstone containing a single horizontal band of pale greyish-blue mudstone up to 0.6m thick possibly demonstrating local faulting. The deposit becomes firmer and blockier with depth – ie, below circa 2m..
