Description
Impure marble (Loch Tay Limestone): calcite; epidote; quartz.

Metabasite: clinoamphibole; quartz; plagioclase; biotite; garnet; apatite; opaques.

Relationship between the two lithologies obscured by jackhammer dust.

Samples obtained in summer 2014 - thin sections examined in March 2015. Sections held by David Chew, Dept of Geology, Trinity College Dublin.
