13:16 Jul 23 2013 Hearsall Lane next to No 85 in the row of existing terrace houses

Description
Exposed by removal of advertising hording prior to building was a vertical section of red clay/mudstone about 3m high and 20m wide, with no obvious bedding, underlain in one corner of the excavation by about 1m of bedded red sandstone. It was not possible to access this to get a dip measurement. Above the mudstone was 0.5-1m of tipped material. The mudstones are now obscured by a retaining wall and the building of houses is now complete and the site covered.
